From 1985 Dominice Dolce & Stafano Gabbana have been working together on what is now one of the biggest and most important fashion brands in the world. The collections from the Italian duo are always highly anticipated and the forthcoming collection for spring/summer 2012 was no exception. A color palet of greys, white, light blues and black made for a typical Dolce & Gabbana Mediterranean chic show with a new and modern twist.

Lanvin
The oldest fashion house still in operation in the world, founded in 1909, is still extremely important in the international fashion world. Lukas Ossendrijver has been the main menswear designer since 2005 alongside Alber Elbaz. Also coming season's collection has been very well received by the international press. The overall theme of the collection was war with colors as musterd, green, beige and grey with splashes of lilac and purple. Zippers were also an returning accent in the whole collection.

The company's artisans developed a leather-weaving technique, called intrecciato, that remains a signature of the brand. Over time Bottega Veneta's renown grew, thanks to the quality of its craftsmanship and the appeal of its discreet, no-logo design. In 2001 designer Tomas Maier joined the company, and in 2005 the first menswear collection was launched. The collection for SS2012 is a lesson in luxury, with slim fitting suits, bright colors and leather finishings. Bottega Veneta screams luxury, not logo.

Prada
The house of Prada was founded in 1913 by the brothers Mario and Martino Prada and has since grown into one of the biggest and most important fashion houses in the world. Not in the least thanks to Miuccia Prada who took over the company from her mother in 1978. The men's collections by Prada are always much anticipated and this coming season is no exception. The theme of the collection is 50's sports, and especially tennis combined with colorful floral prints in a variety of pastel shades.

Dior Homme
Christian Dior (1905-1957) started the house of Christian Dior in 1947. Famous for inventing the New Look, the womens collections by Dior have always been huge. The mens collections gained again in popularity after designer Hedi Slimane took to the helm in 2001, followed in 2008 by Belgian Designer Kris Van Assche. The collections all have a different name and theme, and the one for SS2012 is Less and More. A typical Dior Homme collection with modern twists such as button rings used as buttons, leather finishings on shirts, jackets and pants, and a vibrant splash of electric blue seen in silk bomber jackets and deep V pull-overs.

Yves Saint Laurent
Yves Saint Laurent was founded by designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner, Pierre Bergé in 1962, and the current logos were designed in 1963 by A. M. Cassandre. Which is still the name of the iconic t-shirt with the YSL logo. During the 1960s and 1970s, the firm popularized fashion trends such as the beatnik look and safari jackets for men and women. The current collections designed by Stefano Pilati still reflect the old YSL style, with coming SS12 season having a clear North African influence, Saint Laurents second home. Safari jackets, aviator leather bombers and pristine white shirts gave the collection an old school feel with a modern touch.

Belstaff
Founded in 1924 by Eli Belovitch and his son in law Harry Grosberg in Staffordshire, England. Belstaff produced all-weather jackets for motorcyclists, and was the first company to ever use waxed cotton. The company later created weather-protective jackets for other uses, gloves and several other garments intended to keep the wearer warm, dry and safe. Over the years Belstaff has gained a large following, from Che Guevarra who famously always wore one on his motor cycle to George Cloony, Tom Cruise, Will Smith and Jay-Z, Chris Brown and Mary J Blidge who all wore Belstaff jackets in their movies and video's. At Didato we are proud to have a selection of these beautifull, high quality jackets and coats available to our customers.

Pierre Balmain
The French designer Pierre Balmain (1914-1982) opened his fashion house in Paris in 1945. Since his death in 1982 various designers have been at the helm of the illustrious fashion house, but it wasn’t until 2006 when Christophe Decarnin took over that Balmain became again hugely popular with the fashion world. He was also the one who created again the Men’s fashion line. In April 2011 young French designer Olivier Rousteing took over and this was also the moment when Balmain announced the launch of the “Pierre Balmain” diffusion line. This younger more accessible line is more denim inspired and we at Didato are very happy to be able to offer this great collection to our customers from the very first season of SS12
