Since the establishment of the company in 1989 on the PC Hooftstraat in Amsterdam, Didato has been a pioneer in the Dutch fashion scene. The PC Hooftstraat, back then a traditional neighborhood street, was on its way to become a high-end shopping street. Didato knew easily how to get to the fashion minded men by offering the Italian label Moschino as the very first location in the country. As this strategy was very successful, Didato made its mark in the Dutch fashion scene by adding Versace to its collection. Prada, Givenchy, Dior followed, which made Didato avant-garde when it came to introducing new labels to its collection. And just like that introducing new fashion labels became Didato’s philosophy.
Since 2013 Didato has been relocated to a new venue at the Utrechtsestraat, a fashion forward shopping street close to the Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam. Just like the PC Hooftstraat back in the early 90’s, the Utrechtsestraat is on its way to become a fashion forward shopping street. Regardless of the change in location, the Didato philosophy has been unchanged; dressing and inspiring the fashion minded men, while introducing new labels. The current collection of Didato exist of Valentino, Givenchy, Dolce&Gabbana, Phillip Lim, Moncler, Marcelo Burlon, Dsquared2, Filling Pieces, ETQ Amsterdam and many more.
